1. question about hand warmer

How to use and reuse the hand warmer?

To activate:

  1. Flex metal disc back and forth until crystals form.

  2. Kneading pad to soften while crystallizing will generate greater heat.

To recharge:

If even one tiny little crystal is left the liquid will quickly re-solidify. Hold the pad up against a light and make sure there are no crystals left.If there is even one tiny little crystal, continue to boil until it melts.

  1. Boil water in a pot.

  2. Place a cloth on bottom of pot.

  3. Place the pad on cloth inside the pot, and continue to boil water until all crystals are dissolved, and the pad is completely clear.

  4. When the pad is completely clear take it out of the water and place it on a cloth to cool down.Completely clear means completely clear.

  5. When the pad cools down, it is ready to be used again.

  6. If crystals start forming while the pad is cooling, repeat steps 1,2 and 3.

Warning:

1.  Liquid is harmful if swallowed.

2.  Do not heat in microwave oven DIRECTLY. (Place it in a pot with water before putting in microwave oven)

what's the material of hand warmer?

it's made of sodium acetate liquid and PVC material, with stainless metal disc in liquid.

Is the material safe and non-toxic? what certificate do you have?

yes, it's non-toxic material, we have SGS, CE, MSDS certificates of the PVC and liquid, will send to customer upon reqeuest.

can you do OEM design?

yes, we can open mold and print customer's logo according to customer's requirements.

How is the heat produced ?

By flexing (not breaking or cracking in half) the stainless metal disc, small molecules turn into a solid state which then creates a chain reaction causing the solution to crystallize and instantly heat to a predetermined amount of energy, 130° degrees F / 53° degrees C to be exact. The ability to create heat for a long period of time is accomplished due to the liquid NOT crystallizing at the same time. Molecules that were not required to heat the pack to its maximum temperature will remain liquid and crystallize as required, thus maintaining the maximum temperature.

How long does the heat last?

Heat packs retain their heat for a period of 30 minutes and up to an hour. As your body draws heat from the heat pack the temperature will decrease gradually. All the heat packs will maintain appropriate heat for therapeutic or doctor recommended timing, usually 15-20 minutes per use.

Can 130° degrees F burn you?

No…Per numerous health sites 158 degrees F is considered burning point. Our heat packs are controlled to NOT exceed 130 degrees F, thus giving you perfectly controlled therapeutic heat unlike other heat packs that are heated via microwave, conventional oven or uncontrolled. If you should notice sensitivity when using the heat packs, please wait 5-10 minutes before placing on desired body location.

Can I re-use the heat pack?

Absolutely…Once the pack has given off all of its heat it will remain in a crystallized harden form until it is recharged. To regenerate the heat pack, place it in already boiling water and continue boiling for a period of 5-10 minutes (do not allow vinyl coating to touch the pot or bowl directly), or until all of the crystals have melted back to a clear liquid state. You may notice bubbles, this is normal, carefully remove the pack with tongs from the water (watching you do not burn yourself do not pick up directly with your hand) and place on cooling rack and let cool to room temperature before reactivating.

NOTE: The click and heat pack will not reactivate if its temperature is above 130° degrees F, cool time is mandatory for reuse.

How many times can the click and heat pack be used?

As long as you do not break the heat pack, there is no limit to the number of times a pack can be used.

Is the solution safe? Are they suitable for children?

Heat packs are suitable for children, adults and even pets. They are great for cold hands, feet or for comforting purposes, but should NOT be used as toys. Since sodium acetate is a food additive, it is non-toxic. It is safe, however we do NOT urge you to drink or eat it. Should it break open or become puncture and be licked, swallowed or digested, consult your physician.
